Position Summary: The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all products meet quality standards through rigorous inspection and testing. This role requires attention to detail and expertise in utilizing measuring instruments. Work Environment: The work environment in our machine shop is temperature-controlled for comfort, providing both air conditioning and heating throughout the 25,000 sq. ft. facility. Noise levels may vary depending on the machines in operation, requiring all employees to use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed. We maintain a clean and safe environment to support productivity and employee well-being. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employees are occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds is required, with occasional lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds individually, and up to 200 pounds with a group. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Conduct visual inspections and measurements using hard gauges and other measuring tools.
• Identify defects and non-conformance in products.
• Record inspection results and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with the production team to address quality issues.
• Participate in the development of inspection processes and protocols.
High school diploma or equivalent; certification in quality control preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with AS9100 standards is a plus.
• Proficiency in the use of inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, and CMMs.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
