Position Summary: The IT Specialist is responsible for managing the company's technological infrastructure and ensuring that all systems operate efficiently. This role emphasizes software management, troubleshooting, and support, particularly focusing on Power Apps, automated workflows, database management, SQL, and other emerging technologies. Work Environment: The work environment in our machine shop is temperature-controlled for comfort, providing both air conditioning and heating throughout the 36,000 sq. ft. facility. Noise levels may vary depending on the machines in operation, requiring all employees to use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed. We maintain a clean and safe environment to support productivity and employee well-being.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Employees are occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. • Provide technical support to staff for hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Manage and maintain servers, networks, and IT equipment, with a strong emphasis on software applications.
• Develop, implement, and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate and other similar technologies.
• Create and manage applications using Power Apps to enhance business processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure data backup and security protocols are followed, regularly reviewing and updating security measures.
• Install, configure, and update software applications, ensuring compatibility and efficiency across the organization.
• Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures that support business objectives.
Associate’s degree in computer science or a related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in IT support or a related role, with a focus on software and automation.
• Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and security, with proficiency in Power BI, Power Automate, and AI technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, particularly in software environments.
• The ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Experience with software development and automation tools is a plus.
