Position Summary: The Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various milling and lathe machines to produce precision parts and components. This versatile role requires a strong understanding of machining processes and the ability to perform tasks such as deburring parts and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Work Environment: The work environment in our machine shop is temperature-controlled for comfort, providing both air conditioning and heating throughout the 36,000 sq. ft. facility. Noise levels may vary depending on the machines in operation, requiring all employees to use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed. We maintain a clean and safe environment to support productivity and employee well-being.

Employees are occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Set up and operate CNC and manual milling and lathe machines.
• Perform various machining operations, including turning, drilling, tapping, and face milling.
• Deburr parts to remove sharp edges and ensure smooth finishes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and work orders.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
• Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments and gauges.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a machinist.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
• Familiarity with quality control measures and inspection techniques.
